Agency Touts System’s Remote Video Portal
DALLAS
– July 10, 2006
--- EyeNx Inc., a provider of innovative Internet-based security,
web conferencing, and real-time video-embedded solutions; recently
won a contract to convert Waxahachie Texas’ squad cars to digital
video.
LawVision, an
in-car digital video and audio solution for public safety agencies,
enables police departments to efficiently update their existing
analog vehicle systems with the latest digital technology without
having to invest in expensive new hardware. EyeNx provides the
software that improves the productivity of the existing in-car
equipment regardless of its age - plus eliminating the VCR function.
Over the past
few years, the Waxahachie Police Department has been using analog
VHS-based systems. Because evidentiary standards have become more
demanding, Waxahachie now joins other Texas agencies using
LawVision; taking advantage of LawVision’s unique features.
“EyeNx put our
department five to ten years ahead of schedule in going digital,”
said Joe Wiser, Deputy Police Chief, Waxahachie. “In addition,
having the ability to review and copy files remotely on the central
video server with the LawVision Remote Portal is invaluable. We’re
very excited about JX1000 audio & video surveillance. This enables
us to store our in-car, jail, interview room, and other videos on
the same server for easier access, viewing and use. EyeNx has
proven to be the most responsive public safety vendor I have ever
worked with.”
